What to build

In the Reader, present Article metadata with the same soft tinted feed-title and author badges used on Headline cards, keeping Article date as plain muted text. Replace the current middot plain-text metadata line. Always show the feed-title badge when the Article has a feed title (do not apply List hub’s single-feed Selection omission). Badges remain non-interactive. A small shared badge-chrome prefactor is in scope if needed so Reader does not fork private List hub badge widgets.

Acceptance criteria

  • When feed title is present on the Article, it appears as a soft tinted badge in the Reader
  • When author is present, it appears as a soft tinted badge with a different tint from feed
  • Article date remains plain text (not a badge)
  • Feed title is shown whenever present, including when Selection is a single feed
  • Badges are not interactive controls
  • Dark-mode Reader metadata remains readable
  • Automated coverage covers Reader metadata composition (badge vs plain date fields and feed always-on when present)
