Question

Is Linux desktop a non-release target for 1.0 beta (MVP is Android-first), or does sideload readiness require any Linux build/docs bar?

Resolution

Linux desktop is a non-release target for sideload 1.0 beta.

Must / not must

  • Not must: Linux desktop build, packaging artifact, CI gate, or install-docs path.
  • Local flutter run -d linux (flake hint) may remain for contributors — not a readiness gate.

Readiness doc

Updated docs/1.0-beta-readiness.md Non-goals: replaced the open-decision placeholder with this firm Non-goal.

Why

MVP and packaging are Android-first (APK via Forgejo Releases). CI already excluded Linux builds; asserting Linux as a release surface would expand beta beyond the sideload destination.
